A half Capt’n Nemo’s sub with all the ingredients is often a meal in itself. Typically 6 inches, our standard subs are based on a 4 protein layer system, so it is a lot of meat. You’ll be full – usually. The term whole sub has been on our menu since 1971; it is two halves. When doing the math – a whole costs twice as much as a half.

Chicago’s Original Subs have Chicago’s original sandwich sauce. The shortcode is CSS; it stands for Captain’s Secret Sauce – the same recipe since 1971. A blend of balsamic and red wine vinegar with polyunsaturated oil, imported and locally sourced spices to create a bold flavor you will either love or not love.
