Is a local chain of sandwich shops big? Depends how long as people live and tell their friends so maybe.  More important – Does the food taste good?  Do you like the place?   National chains with excellent advertising and the money to promulgate their brand have the advantage.  It is called the food business.

Small local guys have signature items and the soups at Nemo’s differ from others.  Made in single batches rather than continuous tubular cooking of factories, the other items are tasty as well as the Italian Sub.

Any restaurant person understands, longevity is its own proof.  With a fantastic restaurant food culture in Chicago, Capt’n Nemo’s continues their tradition.  Not much changes and that’s fine.   Sourcing raw fresh ingredients has been the same to us so we never needed to advertise our authenticity.
