Do you feel as if your sandwich is smaller than in the old days?  Do you think  Captain Nemo himself would permit any intentional reduction in quality?  Maybe a mistake was made.  But, here’s the measurement tool to compare the old Nemo’s with the current Nemo’s:

Purchase an Americanne sub then compare it with the photos above.  Do the meats match up with the vintage sandwich photo? If not take a photo of yours and send it here.  We can square up the differences and take personal inventory of consistent authenticity.

In the old days sandwiches were served on Pyrex dishes that carried the accompanying labor issues — dish washing, cleaning tables and then do it again.  Disposable items aren’t so bad maybe.
